Over Already

Like all good things, the cruise is almost over before it began. This evening we cruise in to the capital of British Columbia mainly, I suspect, so they can claim another port. We plan to venture far enough to post our postcards with Canadian stamps (!) and enjoy a drink at the famous Empress Hotel. We'll be back.

Today has been a leisurely day at sea. Started with breakfast in the Empire Dining room with ladies from North Carolina and Columbus, Ohio. Then back to the cabin to pack the big bags. Lots of sunning and snoozing on the balcony, reading The Alaska Cruise Handbook and occasionally scanning for interesting objects.

We have Canada on one side and US on the starboard. Cruised through Hecate Strait, Queen Charlotte Sound and Georgia Strait and should arrive at Victoria around 8pm. Won't disembark as we had booked the Steakhouse tonight. Like we need more food!

Here are some other shots from this relaxing day cruising.
