T Minus 10 Hours and ....

Seated at the Ikea style bench under a double glazed window just east of the main runway, our trip is only hours away. My cold is making things more difficult and to be honest, staying in bed at home seems like a good alternative. 12 hours from now, I will be just about to board JAL flight ??? for Narita and 10 hours after that, I suspect I will feel truly awful. So, Mr Optimism at the typewriter at present. Still, it beats work.
I am about to take a photo using photo synth of the whole room. I am informed the JAL hotel rooms at Narita are even smaller so thought I would start with Room #1.
Did I tell you the pool is leaking? I had to leave it to my elderly neighbour to look after it. Don't expect to see much water left when I return but at least it's July.
This is a terrible time for a teacher to holiday. We have to complete all our reports, .... well, I wont bore you but the side effect is that I feel little of the expectation I should. So Blog starts with a Gee Wizz factor of 10.

T Minus 5 days and counting

My first tentative steps using Blogpress, thanks to Russ. Still have marking, reports and tax to do before I even think about packing. I think I will be on the plane to Tokyo before I can relax.
Enjoying a visit by sister Rose. Lots of tech toys at play tonight although interrupted by a lovely Moussaka dinner. I hope to use a GPS tour guide in BC called GyPSy if is affordable and worthwhile. Also gathering together the various phones, cameras, laptops, etc. etc. that require a power board to charge these days. I expect the accommodation at Fairmont Hot Springs to be pretty swish.
I have downloaded a GPS navigator for the ipad to plan our trips as well. Free. For now anyway.


The big news at home has been the resurfacing of the pool. Looks great now.



I will insert a few pics just to test out the features of this app.






PS We are in Catalpa Ave according to the GPS. Must find where it is.
