Previous entries were rushed and out of order so time to reflect before I venture out on the resort's bicycles for a hopefully easy ride along the shoreline. Poor old NZ is in drought and as a couple of shots show, even this mighty lake is low.

Yesterday, after a leisurely start, we shopped at the Remarkables shopping centre, located near our accommodation and the Queenstown airport. This means that I can have breakfast this morning! During a morning walk I took some shots of the Remakables Primary School where Paul and Justine send Michaela when they are down south. It looks more like a luxury resort than a school, and what an outlook! Fortunately, it blends in quite well.

On our drive out to Arrowtown, we called in to their home overlooking Lake Hayes. Magnificent views and the house has been designed not to dominate its surroundings. Classy!

The Autumn Festival Parade at Arrowtown was fun. We took some video as well as stills of the old cars.

We returned to Queenstown via Coronet Peak, looking very different without snow. More great views.

We stopped in downtown on our return and joined the crowd beside the lake. Water was so clear and some colour has started although we need colder weather - mid 20s during the days here so far.

We hoped to fly to Milford today but the forecast was poor (hard to believe looking out our window) so we are booked for a flight and cruise on Wednesday. Today is probably Wanaka and Wineries day. I hope to walk the start of the Routeburn before the weather closes in but I need the track notes apparently. Tomorrow hopefully.
Plenty happening. Keep you posted.
