Winter Wonderland

Start of the climb from Glouscester.

Left here at 9 on a sunny morning and took the forest road up to Barrington and on up the gravel to the Tops. Stopped to photograph a light dusting of snow on the road which turned out to be just a taste of things to come.

The road winds steeply up into the mountains, offering only occasional glimpses of pasture and mountains to the south, including Gloucester's Buckets.

This was our destination, Polblue Swamp, on the road to Scone. Worth carrying on next time apparently. The swamp is the source of two rivers up here, including the Manning.

It was cold.

Thanks Mike for the GPS!

Great walk around the Swamp but busy campground.

Short Walk to Thunderbolts Lookout. Worth it.

Will write another entry about the rest of the day so this one uploads!

- All my own work - sorry!
